Al’s training programs encompass proper nutrition, aerobics, strengthening exercises, and flexibility. He emphasizes that “it’s not just weight lifting anymore. Whether your goal is to bulk up, tone down, or just improve your overall health and fitness, you have to look at the big picture.” His training format stresses proper form and technique with each exercise, in order to insure safety with maximum benefit.
In addition to his many years as a weight lifter and power lifter, Al is also trained and has competed in the martial arts, and has moved forward into all aspects of health and fitness training, including sports nutrition and dietary counseling. He is a certified Sports Nutrition Counselor, certified Advanced Fitness Trainer, and most recently a certified Post-Secondary Rehabilitation Specialist through the International Fitness Professionals Association and a member of the National Federation of Professional Trainers. He is also a certified Senior Citizen Trainer through the American Senior Fitness Association.
